The 16th International Conference on Frontiers in Handwriting Recognition (ICFHR 2018) was held August 5-8, 2018 in Niagara Falls (USA) at the Niagara Falls Conference & Event Center. ICFHR is the flagship conference for handwriting recognition research and applications. The conference brings together experts from academia and industry to share their experiences and advance research in all aspects of handwriting recognition technologies.

- Hosting Organizations and Proceedings -

ICFHR 2018 is being hosted by the CUBS and DPRL labs at the University at Buffalo and the Rochester Institute of Technology. The conference proceedings will be published by Conference Publishing Services (CPS).

- History of ICFHR -

ICFHR began in 1990, with a workshop held in Montréal, Canada. The workshop became the bi-annual ICFHR conference in 2008. A list of previous IWFHR and ICFHR meetings is provided below.
