Best regards, DAS2012 organizers ============================================================================ ========== Announcement: New dataset archived at TC11 Web Site ============ We are pleased to announce that the "Street View House Numbers" dataset (SVHN), compiled by members of Stanford University and Google Inc. is now available through the TC11 Web site. http://www.iapr-tc11.org/mediawiki/index.php/The_Street_View_House_Numbers_(SVHN)_Dataset SVHN is a real-world image dataset for developing machine learning and object recognition algorithms with minimal requirement on data pre-processing and formatting. It can be seen as similar in flavour to MNIST (e.g., the images are of small cropped digits), but incorporates an order of magnitude more labelled data (over 600,000 digit images) and comes from a significantly harder, unsolved, real world problem (recognizing digits and numbers in natural scene images). SVHN is obtained from house numbers in Google Street View images. We would like to remind you that the TC10 and TC11 welcome contributions of new datasets or other resources related to the community. Please check the TC11 site on information about how to submit datasets for archiving. http://www.iapr-tc11.org/mediawiki/index.php/Datasets Dimosthenis Karatzas TC-11 Dataset Curator ============================================================================ ========== Job Offer at ITESOFT ============================================ Research Fellow in Document Image Analysis (H/F) ------------------------------------------------ Company: Founded in 1984, ITESOFT is a European software company specialising in the development of automatic information flows processing solutions, with sites in Germany, in the UK and in France.
